cable just laid, works like the original, am satisfied, valuable and effective. Note that it's no big deal to grind the original nut when you install it, or you may end up with a nut without a flange washer.

This hood latch will fit and work on Silverado '05. The nut/washer assembly is a little tight, but it is bolted on and tightened well. I have lubricated the latch assembly and hope the new part will last.

It works as it should and is well made BUT! For those of you who are familiar with automotive or mechanical engineering in general, listen up. The bolt hole wasn't the same as the original, but it didn't matter much. Just resize the hole or do what I did and find a smaller screw but with the right thread and it will fit perfectly.

This part is cheap plastic and broke before I could install it. And very disappointed and was a waste of money! Garbage Do not buy! I went to the auto zone and bought the exact same thing and cheaper and made in the USA and made of better material and more durable! Suggest going there and buying, they are quite universal and fit different models.

Obviously this product is not OEM so it's not perfect but it gets the job done with a little improvisation. I had trouble installing a new one on my 2006 Silverado truck because the hex washer and nut are too big. I can't find an alternative nut and washer so I forcibly bent the washer myself to fit the hood latch.

Fixing/bolt hole too narrow. The factory GM 2-in-1 washer/nut was too big for the hole/ledge making it almost impossible to unscrew the nut. I got angry and just broke off the top of the edge. It was still a bit tight but worked (still retained its functionality and structural integrity). I could have grinded a 2-in-1 nut and washer washer, but I was late for my annual state inspection.
