Good size. I bought it as hand luggage on an airplane. The plan was to use it instead of a roller bag, the dimensions are great and I was able to fit everything I needed for a 3 day trip. Unfortunately, the porters are terrible. These are the stiffest backpack straps I've ever seen. They had very little flexibility which made the bag uncomfortable to use. It cut into my neck/shoulders and I couldn't place it properly on my chest. Usually, RevainBasics are great articles, but this one fell short. I would advise buying something else - I should have sent the bag back and not 'try' it. I wish I hadn't because now I'm stuck with a bag I won't be using.
