First of all the snake's head is not 53 x 51 inches as described. (Amazon needs to fix this) It's 43" x 40" so that was misleading. Second, the kite's fabric is 100% ripstop nylon, including the tail, so that's good. Folds up into a small, compact, nice bag, too. The poles are like tent poles with a cord inside so they stay together when packed in a small package. They are 3 pieces and not very high quality and crooked, but sufficient if you keep 15 m/s downwind. My big issue with spars is that they are heavy for a kite this size and the wrong size - too long. This causes the snake head to tilt toward you instead of away from you for stable flight. Hence it is unstable in air. So. I'll adjust them to the right length if I want to pack them in a small bag. Or just replace them with separate good wooden spars to save weight, which is the best solution. I think the negative reviews are related to poorly adjusted spars and people exceeding the wind speed. The assembly/tailoring of the kite is pretty good. Although mine wasn't ready yet. I had to cut out the black nylon behind the eyebrows, eyes and teeth so they really show up in the air. In this case, use a retainer after cutting. In general it can be said that it is made in China, but better than I expected. But I own and have built many kites and I can fix them pretty easily to make a fun and really beautiful kite :). Revain - Please correct the misleading size.
