I bought this specifically for my holiday and couldn't be more disappointed. Not only did it take me half an hour of going back and forth over the same patches of skin to try and remove stubble for two days, the process resulted in my skin becoming red and inflamed, and most of the hair was still missing ! And we're not talking about a full beard here - but about normal, light hair growth. (I have a similar model with rotating foil blades in my car and it has worked great for years, but I wanted a new one for the trip.) I ended up buying a regular razor and shaving cream at the hotel gift shop for $5 and it was faster and worked much better. This item was just frustrating and embarrassing to use as my wife was very surprised by the volume of the device and the horrible result of wasting time. For context: I can't grow a beard, so I didn't have a full, thick beard to deal with, but unless I shave at least every other day, I definitely look messy. It may work better for people with impressive facial hair.
