The back brush is very durable and well made. A ribbon is attached at the end for hanging. Bamboo wood has beautiful color variations on the front and back. It has a varnish finish to protect hands and for easy cleaning. However, I noticed that the paint finishes at the front just below the fingers about 2.5 cm. The tree is carved at this point and it seems to me that the master had no intention of varnishing this point. When you touch this area it will be slightly rough but smooth enough not to splinter. The back comb is 17 1/2" long and my husband and I have no problem with that length - it gets the job done! I would recommend this back scraper to friends and family.
