Review on πŸ‘“ Foster Grant Zera Oval Multifocus Glasses for Women by Paul Lawson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great while they lasted; More fragile than they look

I wasn't expecting to give a below average rating as I liked them until two different pairs broke. The first pair lasted decently, about ten months. But the second lasted six weeks. The frames of each suddenly snapped around the eyepiece, detaching the lens and leaving the glasses intact on my face. They seem to have had an impact at other times, but no pair have ever been exposed to anything other than sitting on my face or sitting undisturbed on my desk or bedside table. I've never put them on my head, pinned them to my shirt, or taken them off my face. I just do not understand. I still have a pair left that my mom tried and didn't like, but I'll be back on the market for another brand before they break too. I don't think I go anywhere for many hours without a spare pair of glasses and this is a deal breaker. FYI, they were all comfortable (I'm a fan of that kind of "universal nozzle"), but the third pair I'm wearing now sits a little lower and gives me a deep crease on the top of my nose while the other not. When I first discovered them I started with my regular 2.0 but it didn't seem powerful enough for them, or maybe I just needed a bigger field with higher powers. So 2.5 was ideal, as were the lower strength vertices, as I also needed a small distance correction. The style has grown on me and I was very happy with this car. UPDATES: This bottom third pair I left started bothering me a bit on the bridge. This is particularly unfortunate because although I have found another brand of multifocal glasses that work great, are comfortable and durable, I now realize that this Foster Grant style hides my crow's feet much better! ;-)
