Like others I was surprised when I opened the packaging and was overwhelmed by the smell. In the product description, the deodorizing part of the capsule is not listed. The smell is so strong it stinks of all your luggage, your house and your kids. He sterilized the insides of my nostrils and now I feel like I just inhaled decaying menthol. Don't let the 4.7 star rating fool you if you don't like the sterilizing smelly capsule. Otherwise, the clip works perfectly and closes your toothbrush easily.
