I bought these shoes for my 7 year old to use as "play" shoes - for the sole purpose of wearing them outside, to the playground to walk and also to run, jump, play and kick. in. Still, I would buy again FOR THIS PURPOSE, but these are NOT trendy sneakers. These shoes are not cute at all. The price of these shoes was perfect for my budget for the above purpose but I would definitely return them if I were buying them for my daughter. They're bulky and make her legs look "swollen" at the top. Luckily, they're light enough that they don't act like boulders.
