It's louder than I expected, even at low speeds, but it really came in handy on the hottest days of this summer. I try my best to pull my hair back but sometimes it gets stuck in the gaps. It will last most of the day, but not quite. It doesn't really warn you when the battery is low; it just turns off. I got compliments from young and old for that. They ask if I'm wearing new headphones or something. I wish it was a little less bulky but hey I have a speaker fan around my neck. This is a compromise. And for me it's worth it.
