Review on Saucony Girls Cohesion Running XW Girls' Shoes by Sarah Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm so happy to find this model with two Velcro closures!

We have bought many pairs of these shoes for our daughter who has multiple disabilities over the past few years. So few youth size options in a very large width! PLEASE SAUCONY MAKE THIS DOUBLE STRAP MODEL IN LARGE SIZES! Like many ex-premature babies with mild cerebral palsy or other disabilities, our daughter wears hard plastic orthotics (SMOs) and still can't tie her shoelaces. This model, combined with SMO and two Velcro straps, provides the necessary support, so she can easily slip into her own sneakers. Very important for a young lady. The last time she needed new shoes, we couldn't find the youth size XW "Cohesion" with two Velcro straps anywhere, neither in stores nor online, only the new version with elastic lacing and a strap. Not easy to hit even by an adult with a shoehorn. The school was not happy. She wasn't happy. But we fought them because there was no alternative. How glad I am to have found a pair of an old model with two straps in her size! We've found that Saucony shoes tend to be a little shorter than Stride-rite shoes of the same size, but they have more room in the instep.

Pros
  • Good shoes, good price. The pink color is a little softer than in the picture.
Cons
  • Poor quality materials
