I had an old HP laptop with Windows 8. The hard drive crashed and I had a computer that would not boot. So I decided to replace the HD with an SSD, but unfortunately I would have to buy Windows again for $100+, which I didn't want to do. The answer was to turn it into a Linux machine. I bought Linux Mint on a flash drive (this product) and replaced the HD with an SSD for over $30. Installing Mint was a little tricky as you have to go into the BIOS, change the boot order and make sure you downgrade to a legacy boot. Also select the distribution option from the menu and then click on Mint to start the download. I copied Mint to an SSD and now have a fast Rocket PC with all the features of a Windows PC that's easier to use. I like this product as I like Linux more than Windows and it's really fast.
