I bought it because others rated it highly but I was disappointed myself. On the plus side, things are looking good. On the downside, the buttons are small and look the same, so it's not the most user-friendly design - you'll have to squint to figure out what to press. But the most disappointing thing is that the sound isn't actually any better than much cheaper radios (like our 15-year-old Sony boombox). We live in a big urban area so it's not a reception issue, but I don't think there's much you can do with radios sonically (and it's mono, not stereo). In short, given the relatively high price, it doesn't feel like money spent. I would have sent it back but was out of the country for a while and when I got back the return window had closed. UPDATE: I can report in a few months that the reception on this radio has only gotten worse, and is actually WORSE than the much cheaper old radio sitting in the next room. So this car has really become a useless decoration. I don't recommend this to anyone.
