These days when a lot of people ride turrets, I've decided to build small ones instead. So I went in search of the smallest (hermetic) bookshelves I could find and settled on NHT. The company has been around for many years since I started with audio almost 18 years ago. Glad to know NHT is still in business and amazingly 18 years later still making the same design. They still use a soft dome tweeter and a paper cone midrange. So far I have to say that this design still performs just as well as newer speaker designs from other brands. I bought the Super Center as part of my 7.1 system and the rest of the speakers were SuperZero 2.1. I've had speakers for $2,000 each and I'm not kidding that those super nulls and mids make me smile every time I use them. It's well built and the picture on these speakers is good. How can this cheap speaker be so accurate? It just proves that you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to get good sound.
