A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

In order to use CAD software, a laptop was removed and outfitted with a second 16GB memory bar and the hard drive was moved over from an older model. We found that WD's 256GB internal SSD performed quickly. The screen's high contrast and wide viewing angles make it ideal for office and CAD applications, but I still prefer to work on a dedicated external display. The monitor's pixel density (PPI) is too low for productive use; text and images are too small at 100% magnification, and not all programs scale well at 150%. Thankfully, Windows 10's newer editions include the ability to customize application scaling. The touchpad recognizes a wide variety of movements; for example, you can use three fingers to toggle between apps, but this is less practical than on Macs, where you can also switch desktops with same action.

Pros
  • Tiny, hardly there frames around the lenses. Performance. The IPS display's viewing-angle performance and black-level depth are commendable. You'll get three premium USB-A 3.0 connectors and one USB-C cable.
Cons
  • A noisy air conditioner The liquid screen cover doesn't have an SD card slot, and the Insert and Delete keys are located next to each other on the keyboard. Unusual touchpad An enormous and cumbersome power supply, yet one that is required to run a high-performance central processing unit and dedicated graphics processing unit.
