Attractive protection

This case is eye catching with very striking colours. I got a lot of compliments for that. I find it a bit overpriced but that's what you expect when buying an Otter Box, especially in the Defender range. It's difficult to install a faceplate with an integrated screen without trapping dust and debris between the case and your iPod, but it's possible. After several attempts I succeeded. However, I broke a few nails trying to remove the case to move it. It's definitely hard to remove. Then, over time, as I used it, I noticed that there were dazzling spots of color on my screen. It was annoying. I did a little research and found that they are oil deposits that build up on built-in screen protectors in Otter Box cases due to the friction of your fingers tapping and sliding on the screen over time. I've found Otter Box to be aware of this issue and recommend that you blow baby powder on the screen before attaching the case to avoid this issue. This can be a difficult decision as you need to make sure you apply enough powder to prevent rubbing but enough that your screen is foggy and hard to see. Another solution is to purchase an anti-glare screen protector separately from the case and apply it before putting the Otter Box case on. This is what I did and it works pretty well. I still get oil stains but now they don't last forever and go away after a period of non-use.
