light falls and the like

I don't know exactly how long it was supposed to be, but it took about 7 months before I started having serious problems. It's incredibly durable and easily survives falls and the like. After so long he started pushing dirt and dust in. I do odd jobs in the summer, and even inside the case, grass and dirt got on the screen, which is my main complaint. It can be scratched easily, but it's much better than scratching the screen. Also, I had some black stuff from the back that landed on the backโ€ฆ

Excellent protection

My daughter's 4G iPod with minimal protection fell on her head and the glass shattered. I replaced it myself with parts from Revain for $20 and it worked again. However, he was never the same, so he sold it cheaply. Now that we had bought her a 5 gram iPod we needed some extra protection. This case has to be one of the best. It fully protects the iPod from every aspect, including falls. It consists of two parts. You place your iPod 5g in a two-piece inner plastic case that wraps around theโ€ฆ

Attractive protection

This case is eye catching with very striking colours. I got a lot of compliments for that. I find it a bit overpriced but that's what you expect when buying an Otter Box, especially in the Defender range. It's difficult to install a faceplate with an integrated screen without trapping dust and debris between the case and your iPod, but it's possible. After several attempts I succeeded. However, I broke a few nails trying to remove the case to move it. It's definitely hard to remove. Then, overโ€ฆ

Not as good as Otterbox Defender phone cases - at least not unchanged

I have used Otterbox Defender phone cases on various Samsung Galaxy phones for years and have always been satisfied. But I have 2 of their 5th/6th iPod touch cases. Tried generation and they don't work, at least for me. The button covers are so stiff you have to lean on them really hard to activate the main power and volume buttons - I mean REALLY hard. Well I really wanted the protection that the Defender series offers and I needed a relatively large flat back as a mounting surface for theโ€ฆ

but cool! So when I bought a new iPod touch

I've had Otterbox on my iPhone 3 for 5 years. It was a bit bulky but great! So when I bought a new iPod touch, I knew I wanted an Otterbox again. This Otterbox is similar in that it has two plastic pieces that snap together and a silicone piece that slides open on top. Bought gray and white. It's a true bright white and classic gray. This Otterbox is pretty thin, which is good and bad. That's good because it's better to have a thinner phone to hold on to. This is bad because I put my case onโ€ฆ

  • I don't have a huge grudge about it, everything is fine

I've had 3-4 Otterbox cases for my devices over the years. This is a very good case: strong and durable; I like lime green and navy way more than I expected. I have a 7th generation iPod touch and this case fits perfectly. I have no problem with my Bose headphones (which have a 90 degree plug). But disassembling the case was very difficult (ladies: find a tool for this or you'll break your nails!). I also like port covers to keep dust out. I have no problem with Revain Lightning cables. Expensive but worth the investment

For something made of rubber and plastic at around $5, this cover may sound expensive, and it is. BUT since it protects electronics anywhere between $250-$350, consider this an insurance policy. I bought a Griffin case for about $26 for my iPod 4, and the combination of strong frame, thick rubber padding, and built-in screen protector kept the iPod secure for years until my daughter dropped it while it was out of the case. This Otterbox for my iPod 5 has a similar design, with a hard plasticโ€ฆ
