This dress has a normal fit. I received so many compliments at an event I attended in the 1920's. I had black bangs and gold to wear over them and black gloves. I'm 5ft 7" and this dress was on my ankles but it was ok for a cocktail event because I didn't trip over my dress and didn't have to pull it up. The slightly shorter length was actually a good thing because I didn't feel overdressed in the dress. I knew everyone would wear the standard fringed flapper dress, so I wanted to do something different. Perfect for the event and worn once or twice or the pearls will fall off.
