I bought this as a gift for a 5 year old boy I look after. He loves Lego and building things so it seemed appropriate. I can't believe it was over $10! When he got here he was so small that I expected more from him. It's cool that there are 3 different build options, but they're very similar and not very difficult. He liked it, but I'm sure he's over it. However, you are paying for the Lego brand and it is a good and durable material. Just don't be as surprised as I am if it comes in a small box :)
