What I need for audio and video accessories

I had an old projector and stereo connected to a DVD player with component and stereo cables. I was trying to find a way to turn the DVD player into a streaming device. I initially found a local store that had the correct cables but they plugged in but didn't work. What I needed was a converter box that did exactly what I needed. I can output my Apple TV to the converter box via HDMI and then connect the components to the projector and stereo cables for audio. A great solution for now until we upgrade the projector and receiver to something with HDMI.
