They worked great on the GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox to get rid of the hyperflare. The main disadvantage of these resistors is that they are not fully waterproof. The heat shrink tubing on the ends simply shrinks around the exposed resistor leads and is not a watertight seal. They are constructed by placing a resistor in an aluminum case and then filling the cavity with some type of resin. The resistor leads are left hanging, and then wires are soldered to them and connected with heat shrink tubing. If/when you bend the leads to fit the resistor in a confined space you will find that the heat shrink tubing is not truly waterproof so over time corrosion will occur on the exposed leads. Whether it will be 2 years or 10 years is another matter. When installing I would coat the ends with dielectric grease to prevent future corrosion. In my opinion the real wire should be soldered to the resistor leads in the aluminum case and glued in place along with the resistor. This creates a real water seal.
