good resistance for hyperflash - just watch installation - heatsinks get hot

great price for solving hyperflash problems with led lamps. I installed them with 1157 front signal switches. Unlike others, my tap connectors worked fine. The outer line was a bit tight (the one closest to the retaining clip for routing the lamp wire, not the resistance wire), but using a 3/16 or 1/4 pan head when inserting the lamp wire made it perfect. Make sure you mount the heatsink on metal - away from other wires and plastic. After about 10 minutes of blinker action, the resistances were

Great resistors at a great price!

Great product, my led switches tried to hyperflash and these resistors did the trick. Fast shipping from this company plus what appears to be a really high quality product. They were very easy to install in my car in just a few minutes and our turn signals worked perfectly again. I will be ordering these resistors again very soon when I am ready to replace my Dodge truck with LED lights. I like the fact that these resistors already have mounting holes so you can mount them out of the way. Some…

Used when converting to LED

Replacing standard incandescent bulbs with LEDs is very popular due to the superior brightness and durability of LEDs. The problem with many older cars is that the turn signal needs to see a certain current draw in order to flash properly. LEDs draw very little current, so turn signals may not work. The solution is to retrofit the indicator with electronics that work with LEDs, but this is not always enough. In my case, a 1987 S-10, the turn signal didn't work with LEDs, and replacing the turn…

Perfect for GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox but not waterproof!

They worked great on the GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox to get rid of the hyperflare. The main disadvantage of these resistors is that they are not fully waterproof. The heat shrink tubing on the ends simply shrinks around the exposed resistor leads and is not a watertight seal. They are constructed by placing a resistor in an aluminum case and then filling the cavity with some type of resin. The resistor leads are left hanging, and then wires are soldered to them and connected with heat shrink…
