Before I bought the G903 with the Hero 16k sensor, I almost bought the original G903 because it was heavily discounted at $65 while it was $100 off. However, I did some research and found that this model has significantly longer battery life than the original; 140 hours of battery life with the lights on versus 24 hours with the lights on. Crazy! I bought this mouse for a newly built PC that I'm doing my best on and coming from a laptop and regular laptop mouse. While they don't have cool RGB effects or buttery smooth sensors, they do have battery life, so I was literally used to months on a single AA battery. Obviously 140 hours is a far cry from a month, but it's enough for me as you can just plug it in to charge at night when it starts draining. Aside from the battery, the DPI buttons are useful for switching from desktop to gaming sensitivity. The software also allows you to program the buttons for different functions depending on what software you're using, which makes Lightroom's shortcuts very handy for this mouse.
