Remove the plug to use the plumbing!

I've looked at this before and just want to update it. The water tank is just over a half gallon, so I drain my water tank throughout the day and first thing in the morning. I couldn't find any instructions on how to use the plumbing line so I read all the reviews and tried the suggestions. First, the length of the hose is NOT 6ft, 3ft at best. Second, yes, unless you want water to flood the entire floor, unplug the device before attempting to connect the hose. Number 3. Make sure the device is taller than the bucket/container you are pouring it into. Mind you, the hose is so flimsy my garage door would crush it, so I have to dump the water into a bucket. I did all of that and the damn thing continued to leak into the device's reservoir until this morning. I removed the hose again to make sure the correct end was plugged into the socket (FYI it doesn't matter), I stuck my finger in the hole and lo and behold there was a black plug in the part that you attach to. Hose. I pulled it out and voila, water came out (see point 2! Oops!) Anyway, I reattached the hose (quickly) and the hose is now flowing like a champ. I mention this because I saw in reviews that other people had the same problem with a "non-working" drain hose. It's time to "pull the plug", lol!
