I bought this USB adapter solely to allow anyone in the front seat of my car to charge another manufacturer's cell phone. since there weren't many reviews from android phone users. I thought I might step in and get my opinion. I thought it would work well for Android phones too. I like the size and shape in a solid feel when connected to the power supply. I have two lighters in front of me, but one of them is tied to my Garmin GPS, so I needed two USB adapters to plug into. My wife and I have two identical Samsung Galaxy S3 cell phones. With phones in standby mode, every socket will charge, which seems to be the same. When I turned on a phone in the dash mount to film the approaching storm, the phone with the camera on was unable to maintain the required charge when plugged into outlet "A". When I switched it to the "NA" socket, the camera using the 5 second pause connected to that socket was able to resume charging at a reasonable speed. Both sockets charged at a good rate, even when the phone was heavily used when plugged in during a call and web browsing. Overall I have to say that this is probably the best dual output USB I've used to date.
