Does what it promises and charges both devices, iPad and iPhone at the same time. It simultaneously charged two iPads, iPad4 at 1A and iPad3 at 2.1A, charging one to 100% and the other to over 80%. The size of the power adapter isn't as convenient as other products, but that's a small issue as you can actually have power for two devices and it's very good to have on the go. Plugging a phone into the "NA" connector works as expected as my phone will only charge from AC if it detects shorted data pins. I could easily use the dedicated "A" connector (Apple) to get over 5-900 milliamps (depending on the core of the phone) using just a shorted USB cable. All in all, this is a great addition to my arsenal of car electronics and entertainment accessories. Perfectly charges tablets and Android phones. Previously using a car dock with an Android device, a very similar Mediabridge High Output Dual USB Car Charger worked fine. However, I don't have the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus car dock that I currently use, so the MediaBridge device only charges my phone at 0.5A (like a standard USB port).
