I have depending on where I am going a series of items that I have in my van just in case. I am using these heavy duty bags for different uses so they can go in and out of the car depending on where and what I am doing. Examples include: Car emergencies i.e. oil, antifreeze, tools, flares, jumpers, gallon of water. a 2 step ladder, bungie cords, set of tools, emergency bag, ground cloth. Dog supplies food, jackets, tie our lines, water bowls, foam pad, blankets, leads, several folded screens in case its hot and the car does not work so air can flow through on a hot day. Rain and sun clothes, emergency bag, first aid kit, portable radio. etc. I keep 2 or 3 Labeled bags in the car depending on where I am going, how long, etc. When I am local all but one are in my shed until I need them.
