Very bright and adaptable to your reading style.
This light is amazing. This is the best reading lamp I've ever owned. For the price, it simply can't be beat. Attention, when you plug it in for the first time and the blue indicator lights up, you need to let it charge overnight. After that everything is ready, BUT. When you turn it off, don't turn off the blue light on the plug, or it won't charge when you turn it on again. Just leave the blue light on.
