In short, it's worth the investment. My Victory Cross Country Tour was my seventh bike and the first with footboards. It turns out you don't really know what you're missing until you try! Much more comfortable than the footrests which I also used. When I switched my Victory to the Road Glide Ultra, I found that while the floorboards were comfortable, they weren't as comfortable as the 18-inch floorboards I was used to. These extensions really help increase comfort. I now take full advantage of the width of the boards and the longer length as the footswitches are mostly inside the boards. This is especially true if you use the heel switch it's not too bad. Although I'm not very mechanical and it seems the person who last installed the planks used a lot of torque, with the help of a pry bar I was able to install them in about an hour. Someone more mechanical could probably do this in less than 15 minutes. After receiving the extensions, I saw an indication that the angle would be reduced a bit. So far this hasn't been a problem for me. I will update this review if I find this an issue.
