Battery life is a major issue

Bought this for my son for Christmas as a replacement for a broken, yet often used R/C car of the same brand. My complaint with this model is with the rechargeable batteries. Despite fully charging both sets prior to use and only recharging when totally spent, after less than a month of occasional use, the batteries give less than minute’s charge per use. At such a trivial amount of usage, what’s the point? Unfortunately, the return window is closed.

The Tecnock RC Racing Car is an excellent opportunity for kids to improve their hand-eye coordination and motor skills
