work well again!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Works like a charm with a lock! I've been drinking for a week. I love how different codes can be set for different phone numbers. Don't leave your keys at the door anymore! A bonus feature was noticed, which is that it actually buzzes for a while if you enter the code incorrectly multiple times, as if to alert that someone tried to enter it but failed. . Since replacing the keypad in August, the entire lock and keypad combination has worked flawlessly and the battery has lasted several months. As you can see, I have had locks and a keyboard for several years. I still have Battery Saver on and Homekit off in case history repeats itself. Otherwise no complaints.----HISTORY----UPDATE (08/20/2016): A series of stars from 5 to 2. The keyboard has only been installed for about 30 days; The problems started about 10 days ago when it wouldn't unlock at all, but recovered on its own after a few hours; Luckily we had a phone to connect us directly to the castle. Yesterday when everyone was out our nanny got the dog out with her code but couldn't come back after trying for 15 minutes! Upon my return, the keyboard was initially unresponsive and not lit, I thought the battery was dead, but without further action the keyboard worked again in the evening. We use the keyboard about 2-3 times a day, once each time to lock it behind us, once again to open it. I see from other reviews that range of battery life seems to be consistent. But if it starts working after 20 days, that really means you need to make sure the battery stays fresh during that time. those who. I have to say disappointing. I see that August recommends disabling proximity highlighting. I'll try that and see when the next problem comes up. I hope you don't hear from me for a few months. UPDATE (September 20, 2016): The keyboard continued to be spirited. A recent firmware update didn't help much. I have tried, Replace both locks and keyboard batteries with Duralock batteries at the same time. Now I use the keys to return to my house. Maybe they ask for a refund. I really liked the idea, but it turns out to be a slap in the face for the money spent. UPDATE (12/27/2017): In June/July 2017 I finally contacted support@august during the warranty period, first they asked me to test a few things and in the end they gave me a brand new replacement keyboard with drama. With the new device, I unlocked HomeKit; and when the August app/Bluetooth isn't competing for the connection to the lock, the keyboard works fairly reliably. The battery life seems to have improved as well, definitely lasting over a month now. I use the keyboard actively six months have passed since the replacement, there are no particular problems, although no frills, you can at least use them, I still carry them with me and ask guests to use the buttons. Pros
  • Cleaners, dog walkers and other service providers can come and go safely with temporary lock picks
Cons
  • Not as thick as other lock picks
