Review on Upgrade And Replace: New 7 Button Fobik Keyless Remote For Dodge Grand Caravan And Chrysler Town & Country by Zac Pewitt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These are as good as Mopar OEM

Summary: 2 key fobs and emergency keys for 1/10 of the price of one as quoted from the dealer. Almost identical with same quality as the original mopar key fob except no mopar logo and fcc code printed on it. All 7 buttons programed by dealer easily and work! Order with confidence. *Not for proximity unlock or driving with fob in your pocket*After buying our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan GT from a ford dealer, they only gave us one 6 button key fob (no remote start button). Come to find out the emergency key didn't work either. After being quoted $180 from the dealer and being ignored by a local auto locksmith, I ordered these on amazon. They arrived in a few days and dropped the van off at the dealer who programed the two new 7 button fobs and the old fob for less than $25. Now we have remote start! The only issue was that our dodge dealer could not cut the emergency door/glove box key because there was none to copy. I am waiting for the auto locksmith to reply, so no idea on cost for that.

Pros
  • As good as the factory type
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all vehicles in the Dodge or Chrysler line.
