are these fake cotton swabs or do the cotton swabs have a drastic deterioration in quality?

Are these fake cotton swabs or is the quality of the cotton swabs degraded and I mean you can't even use them, is the quality degraded? they were so rounded they were useless for anything, not even wiping down the counter. Are there other Qtips brands that aren't junk because I don't know what to do?
