It's actually not a docking station
The HDMI connection between my MacBook Air and the monitor didn't work, but the display port works. The concept of a docking station should be to easily and securely connect a laptop to desktop peripherals, but this so-called docking station actually needs to be plugged into 3 separate ports on the laptop. Going forward, no additional USB ports will be provided - just the same number of USB ports that it "consumes" when connected to my laptop. Not very helpful.
