Deducted 4 stars because I am not very happy with the lack of a bow in this water shoe. I've complained for years about shoe manufacturers stopping incorporating arches into shoes and forcing us to buy a separate arch for insertion - and now I'm supposed to feel the appearance of an inserted arch under the middle of my bare foot? I don't wear socks in water shoes! And the inserted arch sticks to the sole of the half foot. I can feel it when I move my toes. There is nothing worse than feeling something in the shoe. Keen's and Crocs are made for water and have a rubber bottom with a curved arch. It should be so. They have a layer of fabric over a flat bottom. Don't worry about the fabric in the water. But the fabric seems to be some kind of synthetic, it doesn't get moldy, I can't tell for sure. In any case, they will obviously be sent back. The only star they get is for the fit. The size chart was accurate in my case. I simply measured the bottom of my foot with a tape measure and followed the instructions.
