I ordered this card reader for use with a new laptop that also only has one USB-A port and one USB -C connector had for a wireless mouse dongle, USB sticks and possibly other peripherals (microphone/external camera) that I could use at the same time; and while I have a hub, I don't particularly like the way it dangles off the side of the laptop when not in use at a desk (which kind of defeats the point of a laptop!). This card reader solves this problem. Now I can and do use two SD cards and one USB-A device at the same time. This card reader is a USB 2.0 device but is recognized and is a bit slower than my 3.0. This is a solid piece in a gray metal body that fits perfectly with the A port and securely holds the appropriate SD cards; These cards don't have the slack I've had with poorly made readers. What I like best about this reader is that it lets you use a mini and standard SD card at the same time, which not all card readers I've come across do. This card reader makes it much easier for me to move around and work with my laptop and frees me from being tied to my home office desktop and its multiple ports for external devices. I am very happy with it.
