Excellent lamp for fish and aquatic life
This lamp replaces the original Coral Life 20k lamps which came with ballast and base. This lamp has much better coloring and blue is much higher, Coralife 20k lamps seem to have a lot more white than blue. We recommend hanging higher when your corals and fish first see such intense light. 12-14 inches at least to start, not to mention how much it affects temperature changes in the aquarium. Keep an eye on the aquarium for the first few days of operation to see how light affects temperature. Great bulb, watch out for temperature fluctuations!
