Review on πŸƒ Schmidt's Natural Deodorant - Bergamot and Lime: Effective 2oz Jar for Men and Women by Laura Washington

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simply subLime - Deodorant

It looks like Revain has combined the lime and cedarwood fragrance sides of this product. I'm a big believer in Schmidt deodorants and because they smell noticeably different I've reviewed both. As a result, each of my reviews now appears here, one on top of the other - please excuse that! I'm a guy, I sweat. Sometimes I sweat a lot. After a very bad (read: scary) experience with this Gillette Clinical Strength antiperspirant, I began looking for a natural, high-quality alternative to deodorant. After trying the above product and a series of pure deodorant sticks that left me smelling a little wilder than I would have liked at the end of the day, a friend recommended Schmidt's. I've never used any of their products (especially since I've never heard of them) and I have to say that the idea of hand-applying deodorant didn't exactly set my world on fire. However, I decided to try this product and I'm glad I did! I have been using this product regularly for several months and I really like it. When you open the jar, the first thing you will probably notice is the scent of "bergamot and lime". It's certainly nice, but perhaps not what you'd expect compared to a commercial antiperspirant. I've always lived in a place where deodorant smells more like cologne than a smoothie shop, but for some that will be part of the draw. The scent of this item is remarkably similar to Key Lime Yoplait; although I have to tell you, it definitely doesn't taste good! (How do I know it doesn't matter, let's move on). Inside the jar you'll see an adorable (for lack of a better term) little spatula that you use to cut out a small piece of the product. , (which has a slightly softer texture than candle wax). To apply, simply take a pea-sized amount, hold between your index finger and thumb to allow it to warm and smooth, then spread. FYI: I don't shave my armpits, but application is still a clean and quick process. Overall I am very happy with the product and how well it neutralizes odors. The only downside I noticed is that it's a bit cumbersome to use compared to traditional pens and gels; and washing hands after use is mandatory. While this product is not greasy, it is designed to stay on the surface and absorb moisture. So you'll have to do a little scrubbing to get any residue off your fingers. but that's a small price to pay for an effective, all-natural alternative to most traditional antiperspirants and deodorants (which contain aluminum and chemicals) available today. Feel free to leave me any comments or questions, I'm happy to add anything else you'd like to know about the product. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope this information was helpful!
