To be honest, I already knew what I was buying based on the reviews. I wear spiral hair ties and my cat always steals them. So I went shopping for him instead of me. I've tried using them a few times. They are extremely flexible. I have 3 foot long very straight hair. I wear high ponytails. The days I tried them I had to constantly detangle and restyle my hair because the strand wouldn't stay in place. With others that I have, this is not a problem. I don't have time to put rubber bands in warm water to make them shrink during the day because they don't hold their shape. Mind you, I'm a swimsuit designer and mom. So I don't jump over hoops or anything like that during the day. And I don't run away unless I'm being followed. They are perfect for my cat because they are colorful and easier to find on my dark floor. He also seems to understand the difference between the ones I give him and the ones I use, which is why my hair ties are still on my bedside table when I get up in the morning.
