Pure white, not true white.
What you need. Didn't like the bags. Were they like plastic? It fit well and looked great on my son. It was worth the price, which he wore a few more times over the summer. Overall it was worth it. One more note: I wanted true white, but since it was linen I thought it would be off-white. It was off-white, but close enough that it didn't matter for the event it was intended for.
