I increased the number of monitors to four when I switched to working from home. I already had two North Bayou F100 gas spring mounts for the two portrait monitors in my photo and I really liked them, so I didn't want to deviate from the gas spring mount for the rest of the monitors. However, I found this type of mount to be better suited for vertical dual monitor setups. Well I have to say I'm impressed. It was a lot heavier than expected and the build quality is excellent. The vertical stand is modular and a half stand can be used if you only want to mount a monitor but don't want the stand to get ridiculously tall. You can also combine vertical and horizontal installation kits. While I like them, I plan to replace the two North Bayou mounts so that I can mount all four monitors with one mount. The only thing holding me back is that I'm not sure if my Ikea desk can support that much weight. It's time to swap it out for an Ikea countertop.
