Buy a size up in my review.
My toddlers are 8-9 years old so I figured an 8.5 would fit her. Wrong, too small. 9 would work better, although 9 is usually too big in other shoes these days. Otherwise they are cute and looked well built. Good stepping surface on the bottom to keep them from slipping and sliding.
