I bought this for a bedside lamp along with recommended bulbs. I like the three brightness options and the USB ports. Warning that the lamp is very tipped over. He hit me on the head three times and yesterday my cat. (It's on the armrest of the futon.) The size is perfect so I'd probably buy it again knowing it, but the base could be heavier to offset the weight of the glass shade. The light starts out faintest and gets brighter and is controlled by touch, so you'll often switch to unplugging or plugging in the USB cable, and sometimes even by just moving the cable and not even touching the lamp. I didn't give higher stars for that reason and tipping issues, but if you use it in other ways (e.g. on a table) this might not be an issue for you.
