The fan controller failed while driving to Palm Springs in 108 degrees Fahrenheit. The fan did not turn off after switching off the ignition and removing the key. I had to remove the fan relay to keep the battery from draining. I took the Hummer to my GM/Cadillac dealership in the area and they confirmed the relay was faulty BUT the part was obsolete and there was nothing they could do for me. I returned home, went online and found this replacement. I had to slightly alter (offset) the mounting hole on the flange to align the screw holes with the mounting posts. I've also used single wire detachable connectors on wires that required hardwiring. The total removal and installation time is around 25 minutes, from start to finish. I ran the AC and fan for two hours at over 105 degrees (outside temperature of course) and everything worked perfectly, both temperature changes and fan speed changes. Product delivered and works as advertised.
