I have Asus routers that I link together for mesh and couldn't figure why the uplink would start at Gig speeds and check days later to learn it degraded to Meg speeds. For the longest time I was blaming, rebooting, resetting, etc the Asus routers. I bought a UDM Pro and switches, sure enough I had the same problem. Then started thinking what's common between the two and it was the cable. I replaced this cable with a different brand and no link problems since. I've never had an ethernet cable bad on me right out of the box but I'm sure it happens. Next time I'll try the cable before I blame the equipment. I wouldn't recommend this brand though based on my experience.
