The ring is removable from the plug
I was specifically looking for a drain with a removable plug so I ordered this one. As soon as I pulled it out of the box and tried to remove the connector, the ring immediately fell off the connector. I had to pry the connector out with my fingers. The seller asked me to write a review so I first told him what happened because I thought he might want to send another fork. They just said let them know if I need anything. I just returned it. Three stars because if you really want to take your time the plug is rubber and you can drill more into it to keep the ring in place.
