Like a cloud for kittens.

BE CAREFUL WHEN OPENING BOX! The bed is attached to the lid and tape, so take extra care not to cut the bed when opening the box (you can peel off the tape instead). I ordered a 24" "Grey", a very pale super light gray with a black "undercoat". It is silky, faux fur, one piece (no separate pieces), soft yet supportive. Has considerable padding , but I think the base pillow inside could have had more padding.I bought this pet bed because I have several older cats and want them to have something comfortable to sleep on that is gentle on joints, bones, etc. If mine cat steps onto this pet bed it goes downstairs and is surrounded by faux fur.Rollers on the sides. He looks like he just stepped into a cloud. To wash this bed I will use a gentle cycle, low to medium spin, use cold water and some borax to get rid of the urine smell. To dry it I will put it in the dryer on the "lint" program at the lowest temperature. In fact, heat damages the synthetic fibers of this art fur. This will help loosen things up again. Fits perfectly in my front loading washer and dryer. The 24 inch bed is roomy enough for a 14 pound cat to stretch out or curl up. This bed can comfortably accommodate two cats. I received this pet bed in exchange for an honest review and I don't waste time posting dishonest reviews. I know people want the best for their furry family members and I carefully research what is safe, effective and cat approved. This bed has a slight novelty smell and is machine washable as above. The smell is non-toxic and very light. If you don't have borax powder, use white vinegar in your detergent dispenser to remove pet odor. I don't recommend using fabric softener as it coats the fibers and sticks them together, leaving the bed not as silky and fluffy as it originally was. If odor is an issue, you can use lavender essential oil on a wool drying ball and place it in a pet bed dryer on the lowest setting. This will refresh them, non-toxic for pets.
