Review on 🧭 Garmin nüvi 42: Reliable 4.3-Inch Portable Vehicle GPS (US) (Discontinued) by Marcus Dorgham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent system for the price and reliability

After Garmin finally died a few months ago (2014) after graduating high school in 2002 and never booted again. I personally have a terrible sense of direction (for a man) and would probably get lost in my area if it wasn't for the GPS system. :) About 10 minutes after my previous one toasted, I went to Revain to find a replacement. The first thing I understood was the multitude of options and models. I then spent about 20 minutes on the Garmin website looking at what each model offered # of options and what best suited my needs. ) and its extended version (4 digits instead of 2 digits). I chose the 42LM as I really wanted a smaller than 5 inch screen and that was a definite plus for me in purchasing it. Drive a newer Honda Accord and have no trouble seeing and touching the screen when it's mounted on the dash when needed. I really think that a 5 inch screen will make it difficult for me to see anything. The mount for it is fantastic too. It uses a latch/hook system that snaps easily into place. It took me about 3 tries to learn how to align it, but now I can attach it straight away with no problems. The only downside to the product at the moment is that others have stated that they are missing "recount". IN. Now the GPS will do this for you automatically without warning. If you are not careful, you can deviate significantly. Overall I have no doubts about this device so far and am very happy with my purchase. So far I had problems with zero inaccuracy of the coordinates.
