UPDATE 09/06/2019: Well, the manufacturer/seller had the defective UPS shipped to me free of charge and sent me a new one. I've had it running for a day now and it seems to be working fine. It has made the air quality in my bedroom much better. I took a meter from work to measure it and it works great. I've added a photo of the air quality before filtering and a photo with a meter right at the air outlet and the numbers are impressive. I've also included a photo of the front display versus the counter. I'm changing my rating from 1 to 4 because of the great customer service and the great performance of the cleaner. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating. is that sleep mode sets the fan to low speed and turns off all lights. I want you to keep the fan speed higher but turn off all the lights. I have submitted a review which I made based on the information the manufacturer/seller sent me after I asked them a question. I asked them what the number on the PM2.5 display meant and they said it was the number of particles of that size in a cubic meter of air. It's not possible as I mentioned below and that's why I sent it back. After I sent it back and gave my initial review, the manufacturer/seller contacted me and informed me that this information was incorrect and that the number was actually the mass of particles in a cubic meter of air in micrograms. Well it's totally different and the numbers shown will be fine. So I decided to try again and they sent me another one. They also told me that if I just want to get rid of dust and allergens, I should run it in manual mode to better clean the air. I received it today and when I plugged it in the display completely died. Tried plugging it in a couple of times and made sure it wasn't in sleep mode and nothing, dead display. I also noticed heavy wear around the upper front and a few yellowish streaks on the front. I was able to erase most of them, but didn't have to clean this device, which I now assume was used, only to find the display wasn't working. I have contacted the manufacturer/seller to see what they will do and am awaiting their response. Added another photo with a dead display, but the scuffs are not visible in the photo. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This device is useless if kept in automatic mode. The sensor is so imprecise that it never leaves fan speed 1, the slowest speed. As a result, it doesn't filter dust like it should. I put it in my bedroom and the number of PM2.5 particles per cubic meter is always 1, 2, 3 or 4. I once saw it go up to 7. As I sit here writing this, I have a block to my side to the open door, another foot and he's outside and the count is down to 8. Even though today is "Air Reserve" day. I checked the PM2.5 readings at a station near me and they're between 30 and 40, so the sensor on this thing is terrible. Based on the readings I'm getting in my bedroom, you might think I'm in an ISO Class 1 cleanroom. Therefore, the readings I've uploaded images for are not possible outside of a cleanroom. Just for reference, normal indoor air is Class 1,000,000 or ISO 9, but I'm getting readings of ISO 1 and ISO 2. For this thing to be even remotely efficient, it needs to be run in manual mode at the highest settings. Otherwise, you'll be wasting your time with those false particle readings in automatic mode. It will be returned.
