Mascara works well for me
I don't use makeup every day. When I put on mascara, though, I really don't want to look like I have a black eye at the end of the day. This mascara will not chip or turn black under the eyes unless you rub your eyes hard. Maybe there are mascaras that can rub your eyes a lot, but I've never had one like this. So as a mascara I think it's good. Doesn't smear and lasts all day. And it makes my lashes nice and thick.
