Despite Revain's terrible packaging (just toss it in a box big enough to fit top to bottom, not to mention the extra top to bottom space and ZERO padding - and the box was pretty much broken when it came here (USPS) - the actual soundbar was packaged so well in its own box that the product itself was not damaged. The unpacking was well thought out, with clear instructions on the box and access to everything in the order you want it. All the cables supplied seemed to be of good quality and it was very easy to connect the subwoofer to the main soundbar and the HDMI cable from the TV to the bar. And then. it just worked thanks to the magic of ARC technology! Tested p28 with music and film - and wow! Bass is solid, dialogue is clear and I can't believe how many nuances I've missed from traditional TV speakers. (I even unplugged the soundbar and plugged the TV speakers back in just to make sure it didn't sound like it to me.) It's not quite the same as cinema surround sound, but it's pretty damn close. I am REALLY happy with this purchase. The included remote has controls for bass and treble, plus movie, music and news presets, but the TV remote can actually control the volume through the HDMI cable. So you don't need an extra remote, but you can keep it handy for setup.
